About Awana

"Awana is a global, nonprofit ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him."

Awana stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed from 2 Timothy 2:15. Trek & Journey is our Jr. High/Highschool program that meets on Monday nights from September through April. Wednesday night is for 3 yrs. - 6th grade, to see more about our young Awana program click here.

When & where? Jr. High - High School students meet every Monday at 6:30 p.m. at NLCC.

Who may Attend? All Jr. High - High School students and their parents are welcome to attend!

How is it structured? Each evening includes three components:

Handbook time: Where each child works through his or her handbook and Bible to learn God's word and heart points and other rewards.

Council time: Presents clear, consistent presentations of the gospel and lessons from the Bible. It gives the kids a time to learn from special guests and speakers.

Game time: Teams compete in various fun and exciting games on the Awana Circle.

How much does it cost? Each student costs $25 to cover the costs of books & awards.

How can we get involved? Show up! Come out on an Awana night, let the secretaries know you're new and we'll give you a little tour. Then we'll have you fill out an online registration form.
