Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
We believe strongly in bringing up the next generation in the Lord - that's why we are passionate about children's ministries! During our Sunday Services we also have children's church directly following the main worship service. We have a nursing room and an attended nursery. Our main children's ministry is Awana, which meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Scroll down below to see more!

Awana 3 yrs. - 6th Grade
Wednesday's at 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Awana stands for "Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed" based on 2 Timothy 2:15. Wednesday Night Awana is our 3 yrs - 6th grade program that meets weekly from September through April. We aim to share the love of Christ with our children and instill the word of God in the next generation!
About Awana
When & where? Our Wednesday Awana club meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at NLCC from September - April.
Who may Attend? All 3 yrs (potty trained) - 6th grade students and their parents are welcome to attend!
How are ages organized? There are three different age groups:
Cubbies: 3 & 4 year old kids. We have a great time talking about the basics of the Bible with interactive activities!
Sparkies: K - 2nd grade. This is a great age group as we dive a bit deeper into the scripture while still keeping it age-appropriate.
Truth & Training: 3rd - 6th grade. You can always be sure there will be a lot of fun in T&T! Book time & council time are always a great time for conversation & memorization of the Word of God.
How is the night structured? Each evening includes three components:
Handbook time: Where each child works through his or her handbook and Bible to learn God's word and earn prizes.
Council time: Presents clear, consistent presentations of the gospel and lessons from the Bible. It gives the kids a time to learn from special guests and speakers.
Game time: Teams compete in various fun and exciting games on the Awana Circle.
How much does it cost? Each registered student costs $25 to cover the costs of books & awards.
How can we get involved? Show up! Come out on an Awana night, let the secretaries know you're new and we'll give you a little tour. Then we'll have you fill out an online registration form.
